Because God is not an unjust judge. There's a purpose. And God's working it out. And he's encouraging me, he's encouraging you today, don't lose heart. Don't become discouraged. Don't let your strength become faint when the answer is still delayed. Because, like I said earlier, even from Genesis all the way to when Jesus was born of a virgin, Galatians 4-4, Paul said, but when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his son. At the right time, God sent forth his son. Why not send him in Genesis chapter 6 before the flood? God said at the right time he sent his son, born of a virgin, under the law to redeem those who were under the law that they might receive the adoptions of sons. So God has a timetable. And we know Jesus has promised he would return. Excuse me. He promised he would come again. But we don't know the day or the hour. Right? Right. He didn't tell us to go sit up on the hill and watch for his return. He told us to occupy until he returns. That means that we live as light in this world. We're soft in the earth. We whatever we are around, we we cause the light of Jesus to shine on. Wherever we go, we give savor to that, right? And God has put us here for a reason that others can hear the testimony of Jesus Christ through our lives. And this woman, Jesus is using this woman as an illustration that she's persistent. I remember as a kid, I wanted to go out every weekend. There was nothing to go out to, but I still wanted to go out. I didn't want to stay in. We want to make loops around the sonic, right? And so I would ask, I would start asking, usually try to ask on Thursday to make sure. But I got to where I wanted to go Friday and Saturday, and those two people right there had come to a conclusion I could go one night, not two, because two nights was probably going to get me into more trouble than one night. But I was persistent. And I tried to weasel my way one night in town, one night at my girlfriend's, and it was either or. My persistence didn't pay off. But with God, my persistence pays off every time. He's not gonna give me something bad. That's all they were doing, trying to keep me from harm, right? I didn't mean to use y'all's illustration today, it wasn't my notes, but I just used that. I'm bad about doing that. But persistent. Persistent. Have you been praying in faith for a while? Keep praying. He tells us in Hebrews 11:1 about faith, and when we pray, we're praying in faith. You know that if you're praying, you're praying in faith. Because you wouldn't pray if you didn't have faith. You're putting your faith in God, right? So he says here, faith is the substance, and here's here's the substance. It is the foundation, the ground, or the confidence of things hoped for. Faith is the substance of things hoped for. It's the foundation, it's the confidence, the things that we're hoping for, or we will experience, and we don't even see them. When I pray God to touch my body, if I'm hurting, I say, God help me. I don't see God come in and begin to work on me like the doctor comes in with his stethoscope and his tongue depressor and blood pressure cuff cuff and begin to run blood tests on me. I just go to God who is spirit and I say, God, I need you to touch my body. And my faith is that he can do it without me seeing him work, without ever seeing him come into the room. My faith is in his ability, not in what it looks like. This woman, when she was persistent in coming to this judge, her faith was that he will do something. And I want to tell you our faith toward God, because Jesus says, Do we think that God, who is just, would not give mercy to those who cry out to him day and night? And so when I come to God in persistent and authentic prayer, I'm holding on that he is a good God who will answer me 100% of the time. And he's not looking at my life saying, Boy, when you get this, this, this, this, this right, then I may be able to help you. He's gracious even when I'm at my worst. Because believe me, I've been at my worst and he still helped me. And he's helping me back up, right? I want to encourage you this morning. Keep your faith in God. Don't get your faith on you, keep it in God. Because if our faith is in God, he will help us get to where we need to be. Right? I worked with a man. I'm about to close. I worked with a man for several years, and he was tough. He was one of those type of people that would find a drop of the hat, and if you didn't drop the hat, he would. He's that type of person. He loved to fight and argue and cuss. And like one guy said he talked in cursive. He, I mean, he he cussed, and and what and me working around him, not preaching to him, but just being a witness, he began to be convicted of his life. And he started going to church. Shaved his face. I guess this church he went to thought if he shaved his face, he'd be a new man. And he shaved his beard off. And but you know, he was not able to change. He changed his appearance, but he couldn't change his heart. It was God. And I think sometimes we're trying to work our way into a right relationship with God. When Jesus came to seek and save the lost, and he puts us in a right relationship and he begins to help us to be sanctified and changed. And that man, you know what it took for him to get right with God? He got sick. And he found out he didn't care what he looked like, he just wanted to be well. And he went to the one who wanted him to be well in his spirit. And God used that sickness to change that man. God will use our trouble, God will use injustice, God will use unjust judges, God will use whatever, and he'll tell us don't grow weary in doing good, don't give up, don't stop praying. Your prayers are working effectually more than you ever thought they would work. I need your prayers. You need my prayers. We need to pray for one another. We need to believe that God works in the possibilities of prayer. It not only covers us, it covers our community, it covers our nation. When we pray, our prayers can do more than we think possible. I hope this message encourages you today to be people who pray. That doesn't mean to be constantly in prayer. You go in your prayer closet and you never come out, you just stay there until Jesus comes back. That means to be continually in an attitude of prayer that I could go to my God anytime for anything, and he has the ability and the power to help me. And Jesus said this last thing. He says, and when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith in the earth? I say he will. Because we're going to keep praying. We're going to keep connected to Jesus. And when he comes, he'll recognize us, the people of faith. We are his children. Amen. Amen. Father, I thank you for this people. I thank you for your word. I thank you, God, for the for the power of the Holy Spirit today. That God, that you are working in our life. You're calling us, Lord, to the to the place of prayer. To the place, Lord, to remember that you are the one who calls us all things to work together for our good. So I pray today, if there has been a space of delay, if there's been some, it seems that you've denied the prayers, Lord, I pray today for the fresh wind of the Holy Spirit to move upon us. That we once again begin to pray in faith. Lord, that we have a foundation believing, Lord, that you are the God who answers prayer. And God, I pray that this faith would grow. And Lord, that we would add to our faith virtue. We build upon the faith that God, we are the people who pray. We are the people who see you move. And God, we believe, as Ian Bowl said, Lord, that prayer can do whatever you can do, God, and you can do anything. So we ask you today, hear our prayers and move in your power and change the things that we cannot for your glory and your honor. We ask it in Jesus' name. Amen and amen. Praise the Lord.
